Silestone® by Cosentino

Cosentino Logo

Cosentino Group is a global, Spanish, family-owned company that produces and distributes high-value innovative surfaces for the world of design and architecture.

They work together with their clients and partners to provide you with solutions that offer design and value and inspire the lives of many people. They are the indisputable leader in countertops for 25 years!

What is Silestone®? Silestone® is a 94% compound of natural quartz which makes it extraordinarily hard and resilient.

Amongst the features responsible for this popularity are that Silestone® quartz countertops present extreme durability in kitchen and bathroom spaces where traffic and daily use is high.

Silestone® has become the perfect option for kitchen and bathroom countertops over and above other traditional materials such as granite or natural stone.

Discover its colors, textures, and formats with minimum number of joints but the highest warranty of hygiene and easy maintenance.

Two of the few reasons why the infamous Martha Stewart loves the Quartz countertop is because it is stain resistant and high quality. It is glossy without needing to polish it like some other countertop materials.

Silestone is a non-porous surface and highly resistant to staining caused by coffee, wine, lemon juice, olive oil, vinegar, makeup, and many other everyday products.

Find Your Style: Colours That Exudes You

When it comes to picking the textures and colors that best suit your space, it’s important that you are aware of how much is available. Maximize that with the unlimited variety of materials, formats, and colors that Cosentino offers.

What makes Silestone more interesting is that they have over 90 colors to choose from! The endless color possibilities that are offered makes it more desirable by many.

Your options are nearly endless as high-end quartz ranges from natural colors such as whites, blacks, and browns to other colors such as golds or blues.

The design of a quartz countertop not only brings character to your kitchen but offers performance advantages that exceed other traditional materials.

There are a series of different color range Silestone® have but I will share with you a few of my own personal favorites.

The Eternal Series

The colors of the eternal series are inspired by the world of natural stone. For this reason, each slab includes a personal variation of veins and color to turn every slab into a unique piece.

Eternal Marquina By Cosentino

This collection gathers the magnitude of natural resources associated with Silestone attributes. Eternal is the definition of endless beauty and elegance in time, presenting the exclusivity and originality of nature itself.

Pearl Jasmine By Cosentino

If you are a fan of soft tone color, they have an array of choices but this one is my personal favorite, the Pearl Jasmine from Eternal Series. There aren’t any obvious veins but visible enough to give it a unique look.

COMPAC – Ice Series

Compac Logo

Apart from Cosentino, COMPAC is also one of the leading surfaces company in Spain.

A little bit of history of the COMPAC Surface company won’t hurt. COMPAC was founded in 1975. It was the first Spanish company to specialize in the manufacture and distribution of marble and quartz surface coverings.

COMPAC produces the highest quality technological quartz and marble, improving the technical performance and creating unique surfaces using innovative processes to achieve ecological and sustainable benefits.

On top of that, COMPAC quartz is made up of 95% natural quartz. Their designs have endless possibilities that could suit your lavish preferences for your kitchen countertop, your bathroom vanity top and many more.

Ice of Genesis

At COMPAC, they firmly believe in the strength of their talent and in collaboration, in the power of their minds to transform matter into something meaningful and genuine.

Ambitiously urging to design surfaces that are beyond transforming and beautifying homes, spaces and building, allowed COMPAC to reach heights that others only find dizzying. Their strength lies in the talent of each member of their projects.

The artist and designer behind the amazing Ice Series is the truly disruptive and transgressive mind, Arik Levy. ICE OF GENESIS is the beginning of everything; the origin of nature and of matter.

The origin of an idea, a creative process that seeks to change the status quo of surface coverings. It is the most ambitious collection from COMPAC, offering a series of surfaces in which technology, design, and art come together to create something that has never been seen before.

The Colours and Designs Inspiration

Ice of Genesis was inspired by the great ice lakes in the Arctic. Imitating the feeling of walking on ice, exquisitely balanced between fragility and stability.

Ice Lake

“It is a mixture of different elements: nature, emotions, social codes, and science. It’s this merger where we look for connection.”

Okay, let’s not delay any more! Let’s quickly move on to the designs and the colors of these groundbreaking substance.

Ice Genesis

“These slabs are as beautiful as a painting on the wall and as powerful as an ancient stone.” Arik Levy

The colors above are Ice Black, Ice White, Ice Nude and Ice Orange. What a piece of art.

What’s the point of having something that looks amazing but can’t stand the test of time, am I right? With Quartz, you don’t have to worry about such thing as their exterior is splendid and also time is no match for this material.

Care and Maintenance – Compac Quartz Worktops

Compac Quartz is a hard wearing, easy clean surface. Simple routine maintenance is all that is required to keep your quartz worktop looking fresh and new.

Cleaning

  • Soft cloth or a sponge and water is the only things you need to remove any surface dirt.
  • A stain that is slightly more resistant needs a mild or neutral detergent. This will suffice.

Preventing Damage

  • Place hot pots and pans on a trivet or a pan stand to avoid damage.
  • Wipe up any spillages immediately, especially those involving oil, strongly colored foods, and drinks, and acidic spillages such as vinegar to prevent the possibility of staining.
  • Never use abrasive cleaning products such as metal pads, scouring detergents and wool wire, as these harsh abrasives will mark the surface. Avoid alkaline and chlorine-based cleaners and do not use bleach. Compac Quartz is easily maintained without the need for such abrasive cleaners.
  • When preparing food, a protective mat or cutting board should always be used to prevent unnecessary marking on the work surface.

All in all, all these companies produce stunning, out of this world high-end Quartz. At the end of the day, it all depends on your preference. Pssst, in addition to all the great things about the high-end Quartz, all of them has a warranty. Each Quartz by different companies has a different period of time for warranty.
