We were called 78 Degrees before incorporated as a company, Stone Amperor Pte Ltd in 2014.

Founded by Ms.Jasmine Tan in Singapore since 2008. She has served as countertop consultant since 2003.

Not Really. It depends on the country origin & brands.

Studies found that Granite does produce Radioactive but it’s not strong enough to cause harm to human beings.

So in terms of direct radiation, you would have to spend a long time, at least hours per day, laying on the granite countertop, in order to receive very much exposure from it. And since granite is generally not very porous, less radon is likely to escape from it

Yes. But it depends on the condition of the cabinets before replacement. If they are still in good condition, they may be saved.

Can. But have to fix the opening holes positions and sizes.

Not really. But it does help if sealed.

Not really. Quartz is stain resistant. But it’s not stain proof. It is rare but not impossible to stain a quartz countertop.

Yes. But since granite is generally not very porous, less radon is likely to escape from it. So it’s safe for use. The amount is insignificant.

Not really. It’s Stain Resistant but not Stain Proof.

Any liquid spilled on a granite top, if wiped up within a few minutes, will not stain.

However, even water can soak into a granite countertop and leave a dark colored spot but this will evaporate in minutes.

Liquids that do not evaporate, such as oils will cause stains if left to soak into the stone.

Yes. Marble is porous so sealant is needed to protect it from stain.

No. The amount of radioactive is very insignificant.

Not easy. Unless you scratch it with really sharp object on purpose.

Yes. But radioactive levels in marble are too small to be of any concern.

Yes. The best way to prevent stains is to treat the surface with a protective sealer regularly.

Granite is porous. Food and liquids left to sit too long can stain the granite and change its color, especially if the countertops haven’t been properly sealed.

Yes. It will turn into darker color when it’s wet. But will turn normal after water evaporated.

It’s a type of finishing of Marble tops. Honed lacks the shininess and reflective qualities that polished marble has. Instead, it has a more satin-feel, smooth and velvety to the touch.

Faux marbling is the preparation and finishing of a surface to imitate the appearance of polished marble.

Solid surface is a man-made material usually composed of a combination of marble dust, bauxite, acrylic, epoxy or polyester resins and pigments.

According to Staron® Solid Surfaces, it won’t. They are homogenous, meaning the color and material are consistent throughout. That’s why repairing scratches is so easy and with proper care, it will look new.

However, based on the feedbacks and our experience, there will be slight difference in color.

With proper care and maintenance, your Staron® Solid Surfaces countertops will last for many years.

Staron® Solid Surfaces are considered as renewable materials and can be refinished to look new, and are backed by a 10‐year limited warranty.

Yes! One of the most durable Solid Surface available. It’s suitable for outdoor use too!

Nope. Corian® solid surface is stain-resistant. We do not recommend placing a hot pot directly on Corian® surfaces.

Although Corian® solid surface remains stable and undamaged in temperatures up to 212ºF (100ºC), high heat or flame will damage your surface.

It’s more expensive than your standard Solid Surface definitely.

Corian meets or exceeds current emissions guidelines for volatile organic compounds (VOCs), hazardous air pollutants (HAPs) and is “Greenguard Indoor Air Quality Certified”.

Corian is nontoxic and nonallergenic to humans. It is free of heavy metals and complies with the EU Directive 2002/95EC on the Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS).

Its hygienic properties make it popular in installations where maintaining sanitary conditions is important (e.g. hospitals and restaurants).

Depends on color. Not really.

Darker colors tend to require more attention than lighter colors.

Over time, even with proper care, your countertop will acquire a patina, changing the appearance of the finish.

Yes. But definitely much scratch resistant than normal Solid Surface.

Yes. You can do sanding & re-polishing on the damaged surface.

Not for normal solid surface. But Corian Solid Surface is suitable for outdoor use.

Corian® solid surface has low moisture absorption, and is resistant to environmental pollutants, humidity, and freeze-thaw conditions. These qualities make Corian® an excellent choice when designing outdoor applications, such as parks, playgrounds, restaurant terraces, and plazas.

Can. But not advisable as it will not be perfect as it will scratch and peel over time.

Yes. You can. But you might have color tone difference if used with new tops.

Yes. Especially if you use a polyester Solid Top. Acrylic Solid Top is much more resistant to scratches.

Caesarstone is brand of Quartz. They are the innovators and pioneers in the field of quartz surfaces. At present, their quartz countertops come in one of the largest selection of over 70 colors, textures, and finishes.

It’s a Quartz brand from Israel. Founded since 1987, they have been creative with their quartz, offering more colours, styles and combinations.

With three diverse collections – Classico™, Motivo™ and Concetto™, you can go smooth and sleek or textured and embossed, the choice is yours.

Kitchens and bathrooms look great dressed in Caesarstone, but surely you can think of many of more ways to use them. Think feature walls, floors and stairways, or even custom-made furniture.

It does come with hone finish slabs with limited color in Singapore. Check with our Stone Consultant to find out about the latest status.

Caesarstone® surfaces come factory polished to a high lustre, with the exception of their special Concrete finish.

Due to Caesarstone’s high density and non-porous qualities, normal cleaning with a damp cloth will keep your Caesarstone® surface looking like the first day it was installed.

To avoid dulling the surface’s shine, make sure to use a non-abrasive cleaner such as Caesarstone® branded cream cleanser.

Caesarstone is a non-porous surface that gives maximum resistance to staining.

Caesarstone® is resistant to all kinds of cracks, chips, scratches and stains. However, like most materials, excessive force, high point loads, pressure or heat may cause damage to the surface.

Should you have any Caesarstone chipping problems. Talk to our Stone Consultant. They will be able to help you.

Yes. But it will not be covered under it’s lifetime warranty. Caesarstone has not been tested in prolonged UV ray exposure settings.

Caesarstone® is resistant to all kinds of cracks, chips, scratches and stains. However, like most materials, excessive force, high point loads, pressure or heat may cause damage to the surface. Like all surface materials Caesarstone® should be treated with care.

Natural quartz, like most other products made of natural stone, may have trace amounts of radon escaping from them. These amounts are minimal and well within the maximum radon levels in a home.

As well, most countertops that are called quartz are actually made of resins, glass and quartz that have been sealed during the manufacturing of the countertop. With these countertops, no radon is released because the quartz has been permanently sealed.

Quartz will fade if subject to regular intense sunlight. Dark colors in particular will lighten over time if exposed to direct sunlight.

Yes. Most stones etch. So avoid strong acidic or chemical materials on it.

Silestone cannot be installed for an outdoor kitchen or outside at all since the resin and coloring will fade and yellow with sunlight exposure.
